This Sunday's bulletin is up online here. Fasting was a normal and expected expression of righteousness in ancient Israel, and yet, Jesus and the disciples did not fast. Why not, and what are the implications of the answer to this question for us as Christians? Ryan will explain the answer to this question in part three of our study of Matthew 9:14-17, "The King's Law." We will be singing two hymns that is not in our hymnal. If you'd like to hear the tune before Sunday, you can find them here and here. We are also celebrating the Lord’s Table this Sunday, so please be sure to prepare yourselves for this time in worship together before the service. Also, please remember that we will NOT be meeting downstairs for the morning service, and there will be no meal together after the service.
This Sunday marks our first Sunday with the new schedule. Our morning service will begin at 10:30 AM, and our evening fellowship group will meet downstairs in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 PM to discuss the morning's message and to pray with one another.
The men's breakfast is this coming Saturday (November 8) at 8:00. The men will be discussing chapter fourteen of The Exemplary Husband, "A Husband's Resolve: Sensitivity."
